Hey Friends!
Man oh man has it been a while. I’m so glad to be back! A lot of memories and fun times have been had since we have last talked. Some sad times and sobering moments have also been had…but summer had been refreshing! This summer has consisted mostly of work (which is going great!) I’ve been learning a lot from my co-workers. Some are teaching me the meaning of working hard, and going above and beyond what our job entails. Others are teaching me how not to do my job 😉 The Lord has also been showing me his glory in new ways from those early mornings.

Some fun times have been had with friends and family as well. Including painting in the park with sweet friends, and spur of the moment family visits! ( My sister and I also hit up the Muny with some of our favorites.)
My sister and I had the opportunity to go to “camp” twice this summer! Something that is very close to my heart.
Those moments are times of peace of mind and soul for me. We spent a week total for the two separate times we were out there. The camps central purpose is to give kids the tools to focus on Christ and have old fashioned fun outside. Â My heart sings when I see young kids/teens worshiping Christ passionately and so hungry for the love readily available to them.
My family had the opportunity to go to Branson.
Sophie and I headed to Nebraska for a week of fun, and Jesus centered worship/teaching.

This summer followed one of the hardest years of my life (i’m not exaggerating) and I needed it more than I am willing to admit. The Lord has refreshed and challenged my heart, I have experienced peace of mind and soul, and I have caught up on much-needed sleep.
The season this summer followed reminds me of a verse in Job. Job had a really horrible season he barely endured, his friends were not much of a help but, one of them said this:
“He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting.” -Job 8:21
With probably no right once so ever, I staked my claim on that promise. That promise was and is so true. He filled my mouth with so much laughter (I should have abs by now) and I have shouted till I lost my voice. Praise the Lord for summer.
Sincerely,
the girl with THE WORST tan lines
